Rambus XDR, Kiosk Version

This is a clip from a larger project shot for Rambus. Originally intended to be part of a broadcast spot, this sequence was cut from the spot but included in a kiosk version intended to run in Rambus company spaces.

We used a Phantom HD Gold camera running at 1000fps with over 60,000w of light. Most high speed shots are very stylized or take place within a very small space, but this project had to look as if it took place in a real home at normal light levels. The trick was to "weld with light" while retaining a realistic feel. I think we did fairly well, considering that the backlights we used are also known as "fire starters"... because that's what they'll do if you get too close to them!

The set had only two walls, one of which was a 12'x20' frame of grid cloth with six Max Brutes behind it. This shoot was a LOT of fun.
